Xperta has spent hundreds of hours working with these awards winning vendors and their products in order to develop the Platform Centre Data Protection service.  Data Protect is a cloud based data management service offering enterprise-class, remote backup and instant restoration from our data centres.

In our experience, the vast majority of businesses do not take adequate precautions against data loss.  We get called out to companies on a regular basis to assist in server or data recovery where their in-house policy (if any) has failed.

There are still a huge percentage of businesses using tape back-up, it may appear cheap, but this method is notoriously unreliable, cumbersome and subject to human error, not a cost effective solution. On average, 5-20% of nightly tape-based back-up jobs fail and recovery from tape has an even higher failure rate.
